ZX14 Owners Club of SA going into 2012

ZX14 Owners Club of SA going into 2012

ZX14 Owners,

Rather late than never. Compliments to the seasons!

For me the year 2011 was one of the most occupied years ever regarding Sep, Oct, Nov and December 2011. I just could not get to all I wanted to do and consequently certain aspects got lost along the way. But they say: One does not get successful without the help of others; therefore I certainly can do with the help of an administrator/secretary to keep the ropes together. Our Secretary post is vacant and I will discuss this issue once more later in this newsletter.

Then in the same breath we need to say thank you to Johan Pretorius the Chapter Leader VT/Sedibeng and to Francois Heydenrych Chapter Leader for JHB /West Rand and to Hennie Van Vuuren Chapter Leader East Rand for their continuous support and dedication to the ZX14 owners Club of SA.

The Club was established late November 2008 and still growing.

2011

Here follow some highlights for the club in 2011:

Johan Pretorius Chapter Leader VT got well established. He showed an excellent member growth and established a high frequency of ZX14 runs. He ended up the year with a very well planned event in Vanderbijlpark and its community.

Francois and Hennie were appointed late 2011 and we are looking forward to get them established in 2012.

The charity fund was established and will get further attention in this year.

We lost leadership in KZN, but with the remarkable cooperation of Kawasaki Dealers like East Coast Kawasaki we established an incentive program for the KZN ZX14 Owners. Thanks to the owner of East Coast Kawasaki (Tracey)

We obtained paid up advertisements on our website by entities/companies that make a difference. We therefore say thank you to Altech Netstar, Bike Tyre in Valhalla Pta, Xclusivprint in Edenvale and DNA Motorcycles in Florida for their support on our website.

The new ZX14 will be launched this year. We had the opportunity to be the first to enjoy a peep of the new zx14. This was hosted last year by Fourways Kawasaki, once again proving the cooperation between ZX14 owners and the Dealers.

Membership was and still is stable above 80 plus registered members on our website.

Membership fees addressed with printing of t-shirts and caps.

We also received Capital/Fees from Vossie Vorster regarding successful referrals for track day number plate manufacturing.

All did not go well.

We wanted to host the National event but we could just not get enough response to go ahead with the national. Sad but we are looking forward this year to try again.

Our membership fees policy still not on par.

I could not manage runs for the Pta area, but surely with the appointments of Francois and Hennie will proof some positive changes regarding the frequency of runs.

We also received sad news about a ZX14 owner who passed away in KZN.

2012

Vacancies:

1.     Secretarial (Urgent)

2.     Chapter Leader KZN (Urgent)

3.     Chapter Leader Mphumalanga

4.     Chapter Leader Limpopo

5.     Chapter Leaders in the Cape

6.     Chapter Leader Freestate

What about the new 2012 ZX14. Who will be the first to be the proud owner of the new ZX14?

We still want to emphasise our very low membership yearly contribution.

We also need you to renew your membership fee if applicable. Please see the website for detail under the membership application button/heading.

Our finances only changed with interest earned as well as advertisement space fee by Altech Netstar.

All the events planned for 2012 for the Pta area as well as the VT chapter are already published on our website. I believe the dates for West Rand and East Rand will follow soon. Also make a note of the National Event calendar date. Please be so kind to reply via the website or via your cell phone if you are going to attend the various runs. It makes life just so much easier to plan the event in advance and to book our seats at the end venues.  We will again try to include a track day as part of our events for this year.

Planned EXCO meetings will also be published on the website soon.

Kind regards

Freddie
